Each year we have a challenging task of reviewing applications and selecting the 10 ideas that we will showcase. It’s a process that is marked by healthy debates. What makes for a good talk? What is an idea worth spreading. It takes hours of reviewing applications, and listening to the thoughts of some of the shortlisted applicants - just to make sure! We are excited for the line up. We know that the next 10 weeks of preparation will be marked by uncertainty and changing topics and perspectives. It kicks of a new challenge of dissecting a talk to find not just the nuggets, but a way of sharing them with the world. For the organizers, the journey begins at the end of one TEDxLytteltonWomen experience as we plan the next one.
